We are Camp Quality!

At Camp Quality we are dedicated to bringing fun, hope and happiness to the lives of children aged 5 to 16 living with cancer, their families, communities, through provision of high quality recreational experiences.
We aim to let the kids "just be kids"!

In the Waikato/Bay of Plenty region, we take children south of the Bombay hills down to Taumaranui, and across to Gisborne area, and all in between! At our camps we usually take around 50 children.

A word from our Regional Manager

Regional Manager

After 18 years of being involved with Camp Quality New Zealand, seeing and being part of the many changes that have taken place within that time, it has given me a great opportunity to reflect on what we do so well.

We have always put the needs of these amazing children aged between 5 and 16 to the fore front of any camp that has taken place. Without these children and their families, there would be no need for Camp Quality. Their willingness to share themselves and allow us the privilege of sharing their lives whilst at camp helps create the wonderful memories not only for myself, but the many people who give of their time and energy.

The volunteers that give of their time, whether as a companion, staff member or supporter continue to give me the belief that what we do is right on target. Without the fantastic team effort that all put in I truly believe that we could not succeed in providing the fun filled camps that we do. There is a well used phrase that says “There is no I in team” and I know for a fact that Camp Quality is testament to that.

I am proud to be involved with Camp Quality, to have followed in the groundwork that previous Regional Managers have put in place, but mostly to be part of such a fantastic and forward thinking team.

Who knows what the future holds for any of us, but I believe that while there is a need to provide camps for children with cancer in a fun filled and safe environment, we will continue to see the human spirit as being wonderful.
